Jack started out as a character that I liked and I was looking forward to watching him fall in love. However, by the middle of the book, London had started to change Jack's character from a take-charge alpha male to a spineless, hormonal teenager with no pride and zero taste in women. Audrey was completely unlikeable. She was the worst book character: whiny, bratty, spineless, rude and TSTL. (Too Stupid To Live in book-speak.) How in the world Jack saw this hot mess and thought "I wanna get with this girl!" was beyond me. Usually when an author makes a character this unlikeable, they do something to make us forgive them or they go through something that makes them wake up and see themselves as the brat they've become and try to do something to change that. Not with Audrey. She is literally TSTL all the way up to 97% on my kindle. The worse plot device that London does is the "love triangle" plot. She makes it worse and writes Audrey and Jack as cheaters, like we're supposed to get behind their illicit relationship and be okay with it only because Audrey's boyfriend is a total jerk. Nope. Mature adults get out of relationships before starting new ones. Oh but wait. I was talking about mature adults of which Jack and Audrey are not. They act like horny teenagers and whine and cry about being together, blah, blah, blah. Oh! And let's not forget there's some wacko that's out there stalking Audrey which turns out to be totally lame too. Note to Author: Readers want strong characters! Not whiny brats who throw tantrums when the world isn't fair to them.

Entertaining love story with adventure and one of the exciting "Thrillseekers Anonymous" series. Who wouldn't want a guy who worked there! You know, every girls Hunky Dream Guy and best of all he can't help falling In love. Add hero to save and solve the
girl from danger and it has everything you could want For a fun read.
This book in the series was ok, but not as well written as the others in the series. This one was a little frustrating and I had to push myself to finish it.
The main character, Audrey, knows that she is not in charge of her destiny and takes painful steps to correct the situation. Falling in love with her body guard didn't make it any easier. I really liked that she did it on her own terms. The story is well written and gives dimension to the main characters.
To be fair, I didn't finish this. The pace was so very slow that I lost patience. The first part of the book spends a great deal of time setting a foundation, which means there was very little action for far too long.
I found this book on my , doe s that ever happen to you, a book about you-dont-know-what on your kindle for you-dont-why?

Turns out it's a romance about a pop star and her body guard. An average amount of drama, some typical plot devices, and a few surprise dynamics which make the protagonist much more dynamic than I'd expect for the genre.

The book took a lot longer to "get there" than I would have expected, but created a much more interesting story in the process. I still don't know why I had this book, but I'm glad the characters made some good progress as people, developed autonomy, and found love that wasn't based in drama and obsession.
WOW! This makes the sixth book of Julia London's that I have read in 7 days and I must say I have loved each one. Because I managed to read some out of order, I knew the outcome of this one as I started the book. However, the getting from point A to point B was really exciting.

Being set on a concert tour was a very interesting background. Lots of intrigue, lots of romance, a fair share of heartbreak, and some chuckles along the way. Definitely a well written story and I highly recommend it.
Love the storyline, but wasn't overly fond of Audrey. She was full of contradictions. Weak as hell when it came to dealing with her boyfriend, a diva when dealing with her employees, yet allowed some of them to talk to her disrespectful, sweet and charming when dealing with her scholarship girls. I had a hard time really grasping who she was. A great read nonetheless......... did I mention her crazy family!!!
