This trilogy is 743 pages -- a great weekend of reading if you like a story about a young independent woman's tricky love life and writing/blogging career. It kept me on the edge of my chair til the last two pages. Loved this book!
Travel writer Andy, a woman, meets lead singer Giovanni on the night the band signs with a manager -- it's an early stage for the band, when they are still playing covers and need financing to produce their first album of original songs. Andy and the new skeevy but prominent New York-based manager both say yes to the band -- she agrees to write promotional and other articles for them, and she agrees to a dance with Giovanni at the club where they've been performing. Despite her professional contribution to supporting the new band's marketing, some of it for free, Andy soon earns the label of "groupie". She doesn't fight it. She's 5'5" and a little bit heavy-set (she says it's an extra 35 pounds), and instead of working on it she eats the fried foods and hamburgers and milkshakes she loves all through the book. It's weird -- she's too smart to be unhealthy. She pushes through the random comments and the expectations that women need to look a certain way, but at low moments, she finds herself agreeing that good looking, fit men should be paired up with gorgeous, slender women. When a handsome west-coast entertainment manager 20 years her senior shows interest in Andy, at a convention in Las Vegas, her life starts to get interesting. [His HEA is a cold bucket of water for some reason, he's so wonderful.] Andy manages to keep her eye on the prize through some dark episodes. Ladies: don't wait ten weeks for a pregnancy test. What's that about, anyway? They cost $10 at any drugstore. This is like the fourth book I've read recently where sexually active women start throwing up and assume they have the flu. You need to know you're pregnant so you can stop drinking alcohol, start taking vitamins/folic acid, cut back on caffeine and get decent sleep and exercise.

I was reluctant to read this book as it was recommended by for me but I do not like to whole rock star story idea. Was I surprised in how much I enjoyed this book. I could not stop reading! There is so much that happens and the story makes sense all the way. For the first time in a lot of books I can really say I did not like the main man but I got to understand him and read how he changes in a really nice guy. The story was well written, well thought out and the end was good. I have read so many books that I feel the author rushed into an ending and did not really have good explanations to get rid of the problems, but this book I cant fault on the development. You even get to understand the bad people and their reasons for acting the way they did. Now I think I haven't given anything away with this review because I hate it when I know exactly what the story is about when I read reviews; I just want to know if it is a good read. Buy this book and enjoy a good story!

HOW?...WHY?...did I ever let this book/series sit on my TBR list (smacking myself upside my head). Hands down Ginger Voights Groupie trilogy (Groupie, Rockstar and Mogul) is one of my all-time favorite rock star romance reads EVER. I read...or should I say devoured all three books in a few days. I haven't been so in love with a series since SC Stephens Thoughtless series. I am in no way comparing the two...except for my love of both (and the rock star love triangle drama dynamic). Be prepared for a hardcore emotional roller coaster ride filled with betrayal, heartbreak and redemption with Vanni, Andy and a few others who become emotional road kill on tour with the band. Vanni is a HOT love STARVED man whore, pt-time uber douche and prick on the brink of fame... Andy is a young, downtown-to-earth Tennessee based travel/entertainment writer. Andy is your average girl...and not your typical stick thin knock out rocker chick love interest.

This series wasn't pretty...Voight got down and dirty into the bowels of the entertainment business. I held my breath half the time as I scrambled from one angst filled page to the next. The trilogy captured the highs of their drug addiction like love for each other... and their anguish filled downward spiral. Each one the three books made me want hug or drop kick Vanni, Andy and Graham (who you will read about). I felt like my heart was filleted as my stomach turned to the beat of this EPIC rock and roll soap opera. Their chemistry was smoldering...but not in a smutastick way. I love my smut books.... and this series had a lot of steam...but wasn't over the top. Voight's Groupie series is brilliant and sucked me in from page one... it was raw and very real...with fans, stalkers, fame and fortune. I could see this series turning into one hell of a movie. Big love for Ginger Voight...this woman can write and she sure as hell can tell a good love story. This series is Crack for romance, bad boy, rock God loving readers like me. Rock on....and read this series NOW! ... Cue song - The Verve Bitter Sweet Symphony. The end...
