Well written! Captivating from the very start. Not my normal genre but the books title compelled me to read. Glad I did! - One of the best summer reads this year. Great job!
This was my second witch story after Harry Potter, and I loved it. Lani Brown and Killian Crowe use an omniscient 3rd person POV to take us wherever they want us to go in Witchy Girls The Rise to Power Book I. This is a robust story that takes us back and forth into two realms the Maze and the little quaint town of Crow Hill.

Just when you think you know all you need to know about witches, warlocks, and wizards, Brown and Crowe up the ante with some slick world-building that will leave you saying things like, “Ohhhh …” and “So that’s how it works.” Witchy Girls is serious and at the same time fun and funny. It’s well-written, straight forward, and what I’d consider an easy read.

Brown and Crowe also do an effective job of developing the four main characters right away as we come to know and root for Demi, Mila, Endora, and Selena every step of the way, or should I say, every broom ride. Speaking of brooms, I love how brooms are explained. But you won’t hear it from me. Read the book. The story has a intricate plot, a coming of age component, and a formidable and somewhat charismatic villain in Pegrah. I found myself cringing when he appeared on the pages. There are also a few surprises in the way of reveals that you won’t see coming, unless you’re a witch. Warning! When you think you’re finished, you’re not. There’s more. Another book coming you’ll have to wait for. Small suggestion; Pizza and a coke will go well with this read. I’m just sayin’. 5 stars for Witchy Girl.
