A funny and bittersweet look at grief, love and families who maybe love each other too much.
Letting go of the past and facing the present and future is harder said than done for Kam Matafeo. Getting over his wife’s death isn’t something on Kam’s list of things to do. But when Grace Jackson, his new Sous Chef walks in, life is turned upside down. And not just for him either. Anne, his mother-in-law, is not open to the idea of anyone new in Kam’s life and will do anything to stop his romance from blooming. But when the ‘Love Witches’ step in to protect him, the battle lines are drawn. Fircrest is in for some fireworks when the fight for Kam’s heart not only affects his family, but his friends’ lives too.
Things get so crazy that Grace has to make the decision to stay and fight for herself and Kam or to give up and let Kam slip back into the darkness.

Three things I loved about this book:1. Kam got a second chance at happiness. It was hard seeing a character I had loved earlier in the series in so much pain.
2. There were a few other cases where previous characters had marital struggles. Normally I don't seek that out in my quest for happily ever stories. It hurts my heart. I did love how Shannon Guymon handled it though. I think a lot of times we look at romance as the magic of meeting and falling in love. We forget that staying in love takes commitment, effort, and forgiveness. I liked her reminder and her message of hope.
3. I loved Grace: her optimism, her kindness to others, even when they were not kind to her, and her spunkiness. She might have been kind, but she also stood up for herself. I loved watching her win Kam over and make him blush over and over again.
I am sad to see the end of the Fircrest series, but excited to read anything else that Shannon Guymon comes up with next!
Content: clean (some kissing)
Series: book 13 in the Fircrest series, it should be read in order, at least read Be Mine, then Free Falling first.

Accidentally in Love Kam Story Fircrest Book 13 edition by Shannon Guymon Contemporary Romance eBooks Reviews
Thank you Shannon Guymon for one last book! When Bailey died I cried for days! I could never see Kam moving on because the love was so real. But you found a way to give us a glimpse into everyone's lives and end this series on such a high note I could not stop the happy tears this time!
Please don't let this be the end for you! You have an amazing gift, it's time to move to Readerville, where three sisters take over a building and bring books back to a town in need! We love you Shannon!
The Fircrest series has been a favorite of mine for quite a while. Kam has been one of the best characters throughout. When his wife died, nearly destroying him and the rest of the town, I'll be honest, I wept.
Here at last is Kam's rebirth.
What was truly great about this book, all the happy couples from the earlier books, they had struggles too. Rarely do you get to see the "happily ever after" from a previous story fall apart, and the struggles of so many families to keep their lives together actually put to paper.
Shannon has an amazing ability to take the villain of a previous story, and make them the hero/heroine. This time, she brought in the very real villains of divorce, grief, and broken families, and conquered them with the heros of love, forgiveness, and hope. Choices and actions have consequences. But so do love, faith, forgiveness, and an open heart.
I can't think of a better way to tie up the message of love that Shannon and Fircrest have brought us.
**DO NOT read this unless you've read the whole series!**
I adore this series and have felt like a resident of Fircrest, WA from the very beginning. I've been with these characters through their ups and downs and feel like they are real and true friends. When I close a book, I often feel like the characters have finally worked through their trials and are on their way to their happily-ever-after, so it was very interesting to get a glimpse of these characters 3+ years later to find that they're not all happy. Don't most people have a roller coaster of a life? I guess book people do too.
This felt like a high school reunion, with so many of my favorite, beloved characters, but there's drama galore. I'm not a fan of real-life drama, so I'm glad it stayed in the book and I liked the way the characters handled it, but I wanted there to be more restitution from a couple of them for events that occurred. Can I just say? Anne is downright insane!
I can't even express how happy I am that Kam finally gets another chance at a happy life because it was torture to see him as a shell of himself. His new Sous Chef, Grace, is a charmer and wins the hearts of pretty much the whole town--with a couple of exceptions. I love how, in spite of her upbringing, Grace is a positive and sweet person, with a very big heart. As for the romance, it's there and there's chemistry, but the main focus isn't on Kam's story and I would have loved to see more of how he fell in love again. You can't have too much romance, can you?
There are a lot of little glimpses into the many characters lives in this series finale. I'm sad to say goodbye to them, but I'm so excited to see what's next.
Content mild romance
Shannon Guymon has done it again. This final book of her Fircrest series is amazing. I love the way the story lines all came together. I really want to live in this town. Kam has always been my favorite character. I cried in Free Fallin' when Bailey died, hoping Kam could find peace and love again. Enter a happy, spunky, forgiving, big hearted ball of fire. Grace Jackson breathes life into a mans broken life and turns the town on its ear. This story brings a smile to your face and sunshine into your life. If you are looking for something you will read over and over again, this book is one you'll want to ad to your collection.
This was a fantastic ending to a series I've loved for years!! The way Shannon Guymon writes has immersed me in her world of Fircrest and made it a place I love to read and visit. I've been so invested in the lives of the characters, I wanted their endings to be perfect.....and yet, Shannon wove a incredible story with beautifully flawed characters and challenges that are overcome and made an ending even better than I could have imagined!! Sure, this might be okay read on its own, but it's even better with the rest of the series to give it a broader context that just isn't possible on its own! Sweet, beautiful read about second chances and love - but not just your typical love story - it's so much more than that!! This book had me hooked so strongly, I was up until the very early morning just to reach the very last page - and the happiness of this fictional family I've grown to dearly love.
P.S. Even from beginning, particularly in Come to Me - Anne Downing has been quite the character!
